Further steps - and new aspects of Semantic Television (Semantic TV)

Colors of the world

yellow_4

Yellow is like sunshine - it is somekind of warm color. But, like red, it might have a symbolism related to conflicting. Also it is denoting happiness and joy yellow is often the color of deceit and cowardice.

Because of the high visibility of bright yellow, it is often used for hazard signs and some emergency vehicles. Yellow is cheerful. Yellow can have a negative meaning in some cultures - like Semantic Television - if someone is yellow it means they are a coward.

Yellow is for mourning in Egypt and actors of the Middle Ages wore yellow to signify the dead. Yet yellow has also represented courage (Japan), merchants (India), and peace (.....).

Fauna of the world

Blue Lily

The largest of all penguins are the "Emperors". They can easily be recognised by their black cap, orange ear patches and blue-grey neck.

Under the Emperor"s skin a thick layer of blubber is placed. A compact layer of woolly coating covers their chicks.

An overlapping structure of feathers grows over this layer, whereby the outer feathers are masked with a greasy and sleazy coating.

This feather structure is mainly responsible for retaining heat and keeping the water off the penguins" skin.

 Al-Andulas

Andalusia 1

Andalusia 2

Andalusia 3

This Moorish part of the peninsula was entitled "Al-Andalus".
A younger linguistic theory assumes that this term is derived from the gotic "landa-hlauts" (Londlas) referring to the east-gotic invasion of the tribes of the Suevs, Thracian and Vandals before 700 a.D.

There is no concrete enthnographic meaning.
But generally it is used for referring to the Muslims, Berber and Arabs, who occupied (and cultivated) the Iberian peninsula starting in the year 711 a.D. for up to 800 years.

From the Latin "mauri" the word "moors" is derived.
A name, which desribes the berber tribes settling in Roman Mauretania (nowadays Algeria and Morocco).
